Obituary of Charles Eugene Latsch

Latsch – Charles Eugene: Passed away September 4th in his 92nd year at Norview Lodge with his family at his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Audrey Latsch (nee Weber) of Norview Lodge, Simcoe. They have been married for 68 beautiful years. Loving father of Geraldine “Gerry” Fischer (Gary) of Villa Nova, Barbara Fridenburg (Lloyd) of Kitchener and Janice Fischer (Larry) of Waterloo. Grandfather to Lori Friesen (Dwayne), Tanya Jones (Jason), Patrick Fridenburg (Jessica), Adam Fridenburg, Steven Fischer (Lydia), Joe Fischer (Catey), Great Grandfather to Naomi and Julia Friesen, Alyxis and Gabriel Jones, Rebecca Taylor, Alexander Fridenburg, Nathan Katsirdakis, Abigail, Jaxson, Hudson and Paisley Fischer. Brother of Eileen (Frank) Fabian, Raymond (friend Sylvia) Latsch, Roland (Joan) Latsch. He worked in his earlier years in maintenance as a 4th class stationary engineer for Schofield’s Refinery in Breslau. Charles and Audrey were owner/operators of Krestel’s Marina and Restaurant for 15 years in Port Rowan as well as being the Harbour Master. After retiring from the marina, he also did the maintenance in Port Rowan for Norfolk County Senior Support and subsidy housing. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club in Port Rowan and Waterford. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life at Waterford United Church, 135 Main St. S, Waterford on September 22, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. where there will be a service followed by lots of music with friends. Thank you to the staff at Norview Lodge for their special care. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Parkinson’s Society of Canada or the Waterford United Church would be appreciated.
