Obituary of Daniel Calder Bailey
Bailey, Daniel Calder -- After a short battle with cancer in his 65th year, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on May 23, 2019. Survived by first wife Carol (nee Archer) mother of Sarah and Lauren (Darryl) and second wife Debbie (nee Fortier) mother of Calder (Melanie), Malcolm (Melissa) and Sam (Brittany). Proud Boppa to Cheryl, Madison, Ryan, Bella, Tony, Charlotte and Jordyn. Dear brother to Peter, Kim (Sharon), Twin Bret, Peg (Mike) and Nav (John). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and long time best friend Mike Jackson. Predeceased by his parents Gord and Marg Bailey, son in law David Rutherford, sisters June Ireland, Phyllis Roberts, brother Bill Bailey, sister in law Joanne Bailey and niece Robin Bailey.
Dan was a former member of the Waterford Royal Canadian legion, an avid collector, enjoyed metal detecting, arrowhead hunting and was a long time employee at Sit N Bull Tire Six Nations. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday May 25, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m at Swazzee’s Restaurant and Bar, 792 Old Highway 24, Waterford Ontario.
