Obituary of Eunice Maud Finch

Finch - Eunice Maude (DUCH), 76 yrs old of Simcoe, ON, passed away on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at The Stedman House, in Brantford. Duch was born in Nanticoke to Charles and Bernice (Humphery) Hedges on May 4th, 1943. She worked as a real estate agent for Pond Realty for many years. She enjoyed tennis, and other outdoor activities. She was an accomplished artist and woodcarver and was involved in Norfolk General Hospital’s volunteer group. Duch is survived by her husband Clarence Finch of Waterford, her brother Jay Hedges (Yvonne), her sister-in-law Helga Hedges and her children JC Black (Laurie), Robyn Matthews(Duck) and Haley Black, and her stepchildren Sarah Finch and Beth Farrell (Joe). Duch will be forever remembered by her many grandchildren; Spencer and Hayden Black, Clay, Bryce and Riley Matthews, Nigel and Frazer Grant, Mitchell and Jeremy DeYoung and Ryan Keefe and Ben, Kyle and Devyn Farrell. Duch is preceded in death by her brother Blake Hedges and step daughters Angela and Mary Finch. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 1 – 4 p.m. at THE NORFOLK GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB, 200 Argyle St., Simcoe.  Those wishing to make a donation in Duch’s memory are asked to consider The Stedman Hospice at 445 Grey St. Brantford N3S 6X1.
