Obituary of Carol Joan Pennings
PENNINGS – Carol Joan: Passed away after a lengthy illness at The Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in her 81st year. Daughter of the Late Roy and Eva Belbeck. Beloved life long partner of Larry Robertson. Dear sister of Janet McCrae and Garry Belbeck. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her brother Ken sister Barbara. She was born and raised in rural Woodhouse Township and later worked for many years at Breyer Ice Cream in Simcoe. She lived in Port Dover where she took pride in maintaining her home for nearly 50 years. Carol was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at a later date with interment in Port Dover Cemetery. Also the close neighbours in Port Dover who looked out for her safety and welfare in later years. The family would further like to thank the staff at Norfolk General Hospital for their diligent care and the staff and residents at Rosewood Retirement Home in Simcoe where Carol resided before her final illness.
