Obituary of Marion Lenore (nee. Wallace) PERSALL

PERSALL – Marion Lenore (nee. Wallace): Passed away at the Norview Lodge on Monday, September 24, 2018. Born April 11, 1915. She lived most of her life in Brantford before moving to Simcoe in the 1990’s. Predeceased by her parents William and Gertrude Wallace and her husband Jack (1985). She was the last of nine brothers and sisters. Survived by a daughter, Carole Ann Henderson (Jim) and a son, Leslie William (Bill). She had three grandchildren David (Fran), Mike and Andrew (Audrey) and six great grandchildren Tanya, Cassie, Zackery, Adrienne, Liam and Claire. Marion worked for most of her adult life. Among her jobs was a supervisory position at the Westinghouse Factory in Brantford. Marion was a straightforward, determined woman who spent her life taking care of people. She was serious by nature, but her laugh could be explosive and infectious. She was careful but always willing to help family and friends. She was once described by her Son in law as having the quality of “knowing the value of a dollar without being cheap”. Marion was a very independent woman that lived on her own into her nineties. In her final years she resided at Norview, where her caretakers would describe her as “independent and feisty”, Until her final few months, she was relatively mobile and very alert.
